Kevin Gameiro: Atletico Madrid sign French forward from Sevilla

Kevin Gameiro has won eight France caps, but did not make his country's Euro 2016 squad

Atletico Madrid have signed French forward Kevin Gameiro from fellow La Liga side Sevilla for an undisclosed fee, reported to be about £28m.

The 29-year-old has signed a four-year-deal and will have a medical at the club on Saturday.

Gameiro scored 29 goals in all competitions last season, but was not selected in France's Euro 2016 squad.

He joined Sevilla from Paris St-Germain in 2013, helping the Spanish side to three successive Europa League titles.
