Doncaster defender Luke McCullough will miss the entire League Two season after suffering a cruciate ligament injury.

The Northern Ireland international, 22, picked up the injury in a friendly against York on 26 July, just a day after signing a new three-year deal.

McCullough, who can also play in midfield, played 36 times for Rovers last season as they were relegated.

The former Manchester United youngster joined the Yorkshire side in 2013 and has made 91 appearances in all.
