Bristol City have signed forward Jamie Paterson from Nottingham Forest for an undisclosed fee.

The 24-year-old has agreed a three-year contract with the Ashton Gate club after passing a medical

He made 69 appearances for Forest, scoring 14 goals, but spent much of last season on loan at Huddersfield.

Paterson can play on the wing or in central positions, and his arrival could compensate for the expected departure of striker Jonathan Kodjia, who is reported to be on the verge of joining Derby County.

Kodjia was left out of the squad for Saturday's match against Aston Villa.
