Leeds United captain Sol Bamba has left the Championship club by mutual consent for personal reasons.

Ivory Coast international Bamba made 56 appearances for Leeds after signing from Italian Serie A side Palermo on an initial loan deal in January 2015.

The centre-back, 31, has not featured in Leeds' last three league matches.

He started his career at Paris St-Germain, and had spells with Hibernian, Dunfermline, Leicester and Trabzonspor before joining Palermo in August 2014.
