Jack Cowgill: Barnsley defender joins Braintree Town on loan

Braintree have won twice in the National League this campaign

National League side Braintree Town have signed Barnsley centre-back Jack Cowgill on a one-month youth loan.

The 19-year-old has made two first-team appearances for the Championship side, his most recent coming in April 2015.

Cowgill featured for the Tykes in pre-season, scoring for the senior team at Stalybridge.

The Wakefield-born man joins a side that are currently in the relegation places, but won against newly-promoted Sutton United on Tuesday.
