On-loan Derby County striker James Wilson has returned to parent club Manchester United after suffering a "significant" knee problem.

The 20-year-old was injured in training on Monday and is now being assessed by Old Trafford medical staff.

The England Under-21 forward joined the Rams on a season-long loan in August.

He has made four first-team appearances, but his only goal came in the U23 team's 2-2 draw with Doncaster in the EFL Trophy on 4 October.
