Sean Newton: Wrexham defender joins York City on loan

Sean Newton has also played for Chester, Stockport County, AFC Telford United and Lincoln City

Wrexham defender Sean Newton has joined fellow National League side York City on loan until January.

He will stay with the club until 4 January with a view to a permanent move when the transfer window reopens in the new year.

The 28-year-old will be reunited with former Wrexham boss Gary Mills, who was reappointed York manager three days after he was sacked by the Dragons.

Newton joined Wrexham in May 2015 after being released by Lincoln City.
