Borussia Monchengladbach 1-1 Celtic: Celtic 'made a statement' with draw

Mikael Lustig believes the battling draw at Borussia Monchengladbach was Celtic's best away European performance in his time at the club.
The Swede, along with Scott Brown, Emilio Izaguirre and James Forrest are the only survivors from Celtic's only away group win in the competition.
That 2012 win at Spartak Moscow came in Lustig's first full season at Celtic.
"To go away from home, face a good side and play like we did is a statement," said Lustig of the 1-1 draw in Germany.
The reality is that Celtic will need to make an even bigger statement if they are to prolong their stay in Europe this season.
The defender was impressed with the showing at Borussia-Park that keeps Brendan Rodgers' side interested in the tournament ahead of the visit of Barcelona and reckons it was as good as any performance they have reached on the continent since he joined the club in January 2012.
"Absolutely, with the way we played," the 29-year-old told BBC Scotland.
"They had some chances but with a little more luck we could have taken the three points.
"We wanted that, but obviously we've struggled away from home."
Celtic face tournament favourites Barca next as they aim to somehow turn over a side that thrashed them 7-0 less than two months ago.
However, winger Patrick Roberts, 19, is adamant it is a winnable game for Celtic.
"We saw [in 2012] it was 2-1 [to Celtic against Barcelona] and anything's possible in football," he told BBC Scotland.
"If you've a good mindset and go into the game ready and prepared then you can win the game.
"We've got to go into it strong and positive.
"We had to show what we were capable of [against Gladbach] especially against a team like that and I think we did that at times.
"But that's the difference in the Champions League, you've got to take your chances [such as Callum McGregor's late opportunity] because they're going to take them against you.
"But it's a learning curve for all of us. We'll learn from this and go again in the next game."
