West Ham and Senegal international striker Diafra Sakho could be out for four weeks with a hamstring problem.
The 26-year-old scored in the 1-1 draw at Manchester United in only his second match of an injury-plagued season.
"The scan will show us how bad the injury is," said West Ham boss Slaven Bilic. "We don't know yet...if [he will miss] one week, two weeks, four weeks, I don't know."
"It's a big blow for us. I can only hope it's not going to be long."
Senegal will also be monitoring the situation and hoping Sakho will be fit and available for the Africa Cup of Nations, which starts in January.
