- Published
Championship leaders Brighton eased into the fourth round of the FA Cup with victory over MK Dons.
The Seagulls took the lead after nine minutes through midfielder Beram Kayal, who drilled a low finish into the bottom corner of the net.
Richie Towell came close for the hosts with a 45-yard effort, while Steve Sidwell flicked a header wide.
The League One side barely threatened and Tomer Hemed settled the game with a free header from 10 yards.
Chris Hughton made 11 changes to his Brighton side - who are unbeaten in their past 18 league games - but they were still too strong for their opponents.
The south-coast club have now gone beyond the third round of the competition for the seventh time in eight years.
