Rotherham United sign Cardiff City's Semi Ajayi and Plymouth Argyle's Ben Purrington

Rotherham have signed Plymouth left-back Ben Purrington for an undisclosed fee and Cardiff defender Semi Ajayi on loan until the end of the season.

Purrington, 20, has signed a three-and-a-half-year deal with the Millers, having made 25 appearances for Argyle in League Two this season.

Ajayi, 23, spent time on loan at AFC Wimbledon and Crewe last term.

The ex-Arsenal youngster joined Cardiff in June 2015, but has yet to make his competitive debut for the Bluebirds.

Both players could feature for the Millers, who are bottom of the Championship, in Tuesday's trip to fellow strugglers Nottingham Forest.
