Oldham Athletic have re-signed striker Craig Davies from Scunthorpe United on a two-year contract.

Davies, 31, scored 13 goals in 55 appearances in all competitions for Oldham between 2007 and 2009.

The Wales international rejoins the Latics having played for Brighton, Chesterfield, Barnsley, Bolton and Wigan in the past eight years.

He joined Scunthorpe from Wigan in January, but failed to score in 21 appearances in all competitions.

Davies becomes Oldham's second summer signing, following the arrival of Chesterfield midfielder Dan Gardner.
