Ash Taylor: Northampton Town sign ex-Aberdeen defender

Ash Taylor made 43 appearances for Aberdeen last season

League One side Northampton Town have signed centre-back Ash Taylor following his release by Aberdeen.

The 26-year-old featured 125 times for the Scottish Premiership side, with his final appearance coming in May's Scottish Cup final defeat by Celtic.

Taylor, who played more than 200 games at his first club Tranmere, has signed a three-year deal at Sixfields Stadium.

Before 6ft 5ins Taylor's signing, the only centre-back the Cobblers had on their books was Leon Barnett.
