Kyle Bartley: Swansea City defender undergoes surgery

Swansea defender Kyle Bartley spent last season on loan at Leeds United, where he played 49 games
Swansea City defender Kyle Bartley's knee injury is worse than initially feared and he will be out of action for around three months.
The 26-year-old suffered medial ligament damage in their 4-1 EFL Cup win at MK Dons on 22 August and has had surgery.
The club originally expected Bartley to be out for two months, but the surgery means a longer recovery.
"The period of 12 weeks is an estimate," said manager Paul Clement.
"We will have to see how Kyle responds to his rehabilitation."
Bartley spent 2016-17 on loan at Leeds United, but featured in all three of Swansea's games this season before his setback.
