Sutton United 3-2 Barrow

  • Published

Sutton climbed to the top of the National League table after a thrilling victory over Barrow.

The hosts went ahead after 26 minutes in fortuitous circumstances as a free-kick from out wide was swung over by Kwame Thomas and evaded everybody in the box before nestling in the back of the net.

Barrow were level six minutes before the break after Bradley Bauress was brought down and Byron Harrison stroked home the resulting penalty.

Sutton re-took the lead just four minutes after the interval when Barrow failed to clear their lines and Josh Taylor poked home from close range and just three minutes later it was 3-1 with another close-range finish from Moses Emmanuel.

Harrison claimed his second of the afternoon after 61 minutes with a smart finish but they could not find an equaliser.
