Andy Murdoch's late winner ended a run of two defeats for Greenock Morton as they beat Brechin City at Glebe Park.

Brechin goalkeeper Graeme Smith made a great block at the feet of Bob McHugh, and Ross Forbes saw his free-kick deflected just wide.

Jai Quitongo's diving header was deflected narrowly over the Brechin bar before Gary Harkins fired straight at Smith.

But Murdoch finally broke the deadlock when he drove into the bottom corner.
