Yeovil Town 3-0 Stevenage

  • Published

Yeovil fired three first-half goals to beat Stevenage at Huish Park in a game that saw three red cards after the break.

Sam Surridge scored twice, with Olufela Olomola also netting, as Yeovil's Olomola and Francois Zoko and Stevenage's Kevin Toner were dismissed.

The visitors went close early on as Chris Whelpdale hit the inside of the post, but once Surridge opened the scoring as he hit the ball low into the bottom corner, the hosts dominated.

Three minutes later it was 2-0 as Otis Khan picked the ball up on the counter and, with only Terence Vancooten back for Boro, slotted it through to Olomola for a tidy finish.

Surridge got his second when Boro failed to pick up the striker and he hammered it in from a Khan corner.

A red mist descended on the game in the second half as a melee erupted on the halfway line which led to red cards for Olomola and substitute Toner.

Francois Zoko was also sent off late on for a high foot on Jack King.
