Highland League sides Brora Rangers, Cove Rangers, Formartine United and Fraserburgh all won to reach the Scottish Cup fourth round.

Brora won at Stranraer, Cove beat hosts Airdrie, Formartine defeated Forfar and Fraserburgh overcame Spartans.

There were also wins for Albion Rovers, Alloa Athletic, Arbroath, Ayr United, Dumbarton, Dunfermline Athletic, East Fife, Livingston and Peterhead.

And St Mirren routed Lothian Thistle Hutchison Vale 7-1.

All seven Buddies goals came in the first half, with Gavin Reilly netting four of them and Lewis Morgan, Jack Baird and Cammy Smith also on target for the visitors and Sean Wringe replying for Lothian.

Livingston avoid shock

At Almondvale, Dylan Mackin's brace was enough to give Championship Livingston a straightforward passage to the fourth round against junior side Glenafton Athletic.

He smashed in the first from six yards after Declan Gallagher knocked down Josh Mullin's corner and Mackin's second was a header from another nice Mullin delivery.

Glenafton never really created the one clear-cut opportunity they craved to give Livi a scare, and goalkeeper Brian McGarrity saved well on three occasions from Keaghan Jacobs, Mullin and Mackin.

Highland League sides on song

Cove trailed 2-0 to Airdrieonians but fought back to win 3-2, Harry Milne heading his second of the day in the 89th minute.

Jonathan Crawford struck as Formartine beat Forfar by a single goal.

And a third Scottish League Two side were knocked out by Highland League opposition as Stranraer lost 1-0 to Brora, Steven Mackay netting in stoppage time.

Fraserburgh beat Lowland League Spartans 2-1, however Buckie Thistle lost 3-2 to Brechin City with Isaac Layne scoring twice.

Pars, Sons & Honest Men safely through

Dunfermline won 4-1 at Hampden to knock out Queen's Park while the Pars' fellow Championship side Dumbarton defeated Elgin City 1-0, Stuart Carswell getting the Sons' goal.

Lawrence Shankland, Declan McDaid and Craig Moore each scored twice as League One leaders Ayr United won 6-2 away to junior side Banks O'Dee, who had led 2-1 and later had David Smith sent off for two bookings.

Leighton McIntosh scored twice as Arbroath beat visitors Berwick Rangers 3-0, Albion Rovers left Lowland League East Kilbride's K-Park with a 4-3 win and Craig Malcolm got both of Alloa Athletic's goals as they won 2-1 at Stenhousemuir.

Rory McAllister netted twice in League Two Peterhead's 3-0 home win against League One Raith Rovers while Montrose and Queen of the South drew 0-0.

The draw for the next round takes place on Monday, with Dundee United and Falkirk, who face each other in the Championship on Sunday, and all 12 Premiership sides entering the competition.
