Montrose were the biggest beneficiaries of a reduced Scottish League Two fixture card as they beat Berwick Rangers 3-0 to go top.
Gary Fraser scored twice as the Gable Endies overtook Peterhead, whose game against Clyde was postponed, as was Stirling Albion v Cowdenbeath.
Annan Athletic go fifth above opponents Stenhousemuir, Blair Henderson's hat-trick securing a 3-1 away win.
Elgin City drew 1-1 with second bottom side Edinburgh City.
Fraser struck early against Berwick and Chris Templeman fired the hosts' second before a header from the opening goalscorer rounded off the win before the half-hour mark.
At Ochilview, there was no scoring until the 69th minute when Colin McMenamin headed Stenny ahead.
However, Henderson replied straight away and notched a second in the 80th minute before adding his third in added time.
Farid El Alagui's free-kick gave Edinburgh a second-half lead at Elgin but Jordan Allan nodded the hosts level in the 89th minute.
