Macclesfield Town 1-1 Torquay United

National League leaders Macclesfield were held to a 1-1 draw by bottom side Torquay as their advantage at the top was cut to a single point.
Although Macclesfield dominated the early going, the visitors had the better first-half chances.
Jamie Reid's shot clipped the edge of a post in the 18th minute before Luke Young went close after nicking the ball from Kieran Kennedy a minute later.
In the 70th minute, Elliott Durrell tested visiting goalkeeper Vincent Dorel from range, with the goalkeeper failing to hold the shot.
And moments later Dorel was beaten by Danny Whitehead's 25-yard effort as the hosts took the lead.
But with 10 minutes left Torquay levelled as Elliott Romain fired home after Town goalkeeper Shwan Jalal collided with his own man.
