Wrexham 1-1 FC Halifax Town

Wrexham were held to a draw by visitors Halifax Town who had the better of the second-half chances.

Scott Boden opened the scoring for the hosts after 19 minutes after heading home a Kevin Roberts cross.

The Shaymen equalised just before half time, Scott McManus heading in, before Tom Denton missed two golden second-half chances to secure the points.

Wrexham had Paul Rutherford sent off late on as they slipped to second while Halifax leapfrog Hartlepool into 18th.

Wrexham manager Dean Keats told BBC Sport Wales:

"First 20 minutes we played well and moved it well, side to side, and scored a great goal, but we went 1-0 up and were a bit complacent. We let their extra player in midfield spend too much time on the ball.

"You have to give full credit to Halifax but we will look at ourselves first and foremost."
