Forest Green Rovers 2-0 Crawley Town

Forest Green made it five consecutive home wins as they shocked League Two form side Crawley Town.

Mark Cooper's improving side caught Crawley cold with two goals in the opening 24 minutes.

Reuben Reid just got a touch for Rovers' first on 10 minutes from a Dale Bennett cross.

Top scorer Christian Doidge made it 2-0 in the 24th minute, touching home a Dayle Grubb cross for his 21st goal of the season.

Crawley, who had won eight out of their past 10 matches, offered little, but Jimmy Smith should have pulled them back into the game with just Brad Collins to beat.

And the anticipated second-half response from Harry Kewell's side failed to materialise while Rovers should have added to their two-goal cushion.

Grubb hit the bar from the edge of the box on 55 minutes and five minutes later Reid thumped a header onto the post from a Haydn Hollis cross and as he prepared to roll the free ball home, Crawley's Josh Yorwerth blocked on the line.
