Salzburg, who have never won a European trophy, lost the 1994 Uefa Cup final as Austria Salzburg

In a week of European comebacks, Red Bull Salzburg pulled off another famous fightback by scoring four goals in 20 second-half minutes to overturn a three-goal deficit to Lazio and reach the Europa League semi-finals.

Trailing 4-2 from the first leg in Italy, Salzburg's challenge looked to have been ended when Ciro Immobile extended Lazio's lead in Austria 10 minutes into the second half - his 39th goal of the season.

But Moanes Dabour pulled a goal back a minute later with a deflected strike to stir the home side back to life.

Amadou Haidara's 72nd-minute strike from 30 yards sparked an amazing four-minute period, in which Hwang Hee-chan put the Austrian champions ahead on away goals before Stefan Lainer headed an aggregate winner.

Those goals came in 247 seconds - the quickest three goals in Europa League history.

Salzburg were joined in the last four by French side Marseille, who staged a comeback of their own in a 5-2 thriller against RB Leipzig at the Velodrome.

Leipzig led 1-0 from the first leg and doubled their aggregate lead through Bruma's strike after only 70 seconds.

But Lepizig's Stefan Ilsanker scored an own goal in the sixth minute and Bouna Sarr added a second for Marseille after a double save from Peter Gulacsi.

Florian Thauvin's effort gave Marseille an aggregate lead from Dimitri Payet's free-kick.

Leipzig hit back through Jean-Kevin Augustin after good work from Naby Keita, and at that point they would have progressed on away goals.

Former West Ham playmaker Payet then scored a fantastic solo goal with the outside of his boot to put Marseille ahead again.

With Leipzig looking for an equaliser, goalkeeper Gulacsi came forward for a corner and Marseille's Hiroki Sakai broke to score into an empty net from 35 yards on his 28th birthday.

Two-time winners Atletico Madrid, who are favourites to win the tournament, reached the last four with a 2-1 aggregate win over Sporting Lisbon.

Sporting won the second leg 1-0 at home, through Fredy Montero's header after Jan Oblak flapped at a cross.

Arsenal quelled a CSKA Moscow comeback to draw 2-2 in Russia and go through 6-3 on aggregate.

The draw for the semi-finals will be made in Nyon, Switzerland, at 11:00 BST on Friday.
