Hartlepool United 1-1 Torquay United

Torquay's relegation was confirmed following a 1-1 draw at Hartlepool.

Pools made a bright start and after Rhys Oates had seen an early shot saved, they took the lead through a deflected Ryan Donaldson strike from the edge of the box.

Torquay had the chance to level from the penalty spot in the 26th minute after Louis Laing was adjudged to have pushed Rhys Healey, but goalkeeper Scott Loach guessed correctly to keep out Brett Williams' spot-kick.

Loach kept out a fierce drive from Healey, Williams sent a header against the crossbar and Jamie Reid went close with a shot on the turn as Torquay went all-out for an equaliser.

Youngster Aaron Cunningham, who had come on for his professional debut after 65 minutes, was sent off 16 minutes later for Hartlepool and the Gulls levelled straight away as Healey rifled home from 12 yards.
