Barrow retained their National League status despite suffering a final-day home defeat to already-relegated Chester.
With relegation rivals Woking beaten at home by Dover, the Bluebirds finished a point clear of the drop zone.
Chester went ahead midway through the first half, when Jordan Archer took down a long punt upfield by goalkeeper Andy Firth and slotted past Steve Arnold.
Jordan White levelled in the second half, beating Firth superbly with a 54th minute shot from outside the area.
Tom Crawford restored Chester's lead after substitute Nathan Brown's ball caused havoc in the area.
