Falkirk scored a late consolation through Scott Harrison's volley.

Dunfermline remain in seventh place in the Championship.

Falkirk manager Ray McKinnon: "That's not the standard I'd expect from a Falkirk team - the fans deserve better than that."

"I've been looking after this squad until January. Now January is here I can honestly say I'm looking forward to changing the team"

Dunfermline manager Allan Johnston: "We lost an early goal [and] you worry about how the players, but we came back.

"We end up scoring a couple of goals to get in the lead - that was the platform for us to kick on and win the game."
