Cambridge United 3-2 Northampton Town

David Amoo struck in stoppage-time to earn Cambridge a thrilling victory over Northampton.

Amoo fired a loose ball into the far corner in the fourth minute of added time to secure a third successive win, having trailed twice in the match.

Aaron Pierre's fierce finish had put Town ahead after Will Hoskins had hit the bar with a header.

Jevani Brown curled in a fine equaliser, bent into the far corner with the outside of his left foot on the stroke of half-time, but Junior Morais put Northampton back in front early in the second half.

Brown then won and missed a penalty when hitting the post, but made amends when his free-kick fell perfectly for George Taft to head home an equaliser.

The U's dominated the closing stages before securing a dramatic winner, as Colin Calderwood's side climbed to within a point of their opponents in the League Two table.
