Sean Goss scored twice in 15 Rangers appearances last season
St Johnstone have signed Queens Park Rangers midfielder Sean Goss and Partick Thistle goalkeeper Cammy Bell, both on loan until the summer.
Bell, 32, arrives as back-up to Zander Clark after Conor Mitchell's loan from Burnley was cut short.
Goss, 23, has played once - in September - for the Championship club since ending last season on loan to Rangers in the Premiership.
"He's a player with a good pedigree," Saints manager Tommy Wright said.
"He's a player who is very comfortable on the ball and is a threat from set pieces. He's got a great range of passing and a fantastic left foot."
Wright told his club website that, although Goss is "primarily a sitting midfielder ... he can play higher up the pitch".
"His career has maybe not kicked on the way he'd have liked, so I believe I'm getting a hungry player who has something to prove and we'll give him that opportunity," he said.
Goss arrives as fellow midfielder Stefan Scougall, who had made 31 appearances since joining Saints from Sheffield United in the summer of 2017, agreed to the termination of his contract.
The 26-year-old subsequently signed a six-month deal with English League Two outfit Carlisle United, where he has been re-united with his former Fleetwood Town manager, Steven Pressley.
Meanwhile, Wright said of goalkeeper Bell that "at this stage of his career, he's content at being a back-up".
St Johnstone's other piece of deadline-day business was to send striker David McMillan on loan to Premiership rivals Hamilton Academical on loan.
The 30-year-old has scored three goals in 19 appearances this season.
