England recorded a 1-0 victory over Argentina in their second group game to progress to the last 16 of the Women's World Cup.

Striker Jodie Taylor scored the winner in the second half as England dominated possession and had seven shots on target.

Goalkeeper Carly Telford made her first appearance in a major tournament and Jill Scott edged closer to equalling Peter Shilton's England record of 17 appearances at World Cup finals.
