Ryan Inniss: FA bans Newport County defender for five games
- Published
Newport County defender Ryan Inniss has been banned for five games by the Football Association for biting in the EFL Trophy loss to West Ham United U21s.
The 24-year-old, on loan from Crystal Palace, was sent-off after an incident with Reece Hannam on 4 September.
An FA statement said: "The standard punishment of a three-match suspension in this instance... (will be) replaced with a five-match suspension."
He will be available from 8 October.
Newport have a home EFL Trophy game against Exeter City on that evening.
But before that Inniss will miss Saturday's League Two trip to Northampton Town, plus further league games against Macclesfield Town, Exeter, Swindon Town and Carlisle United.
