Swindon Town stayed top of League Two by ending Plymouth Argyle's three-match winning streak with a 2-1 win at Home Park.

Eoin Doyle increased his season's tally to 23 goals for the Robins by netting the 77th-minute winner.

Dom Telford opened the scoring for Argyle with a superb downward header to greet left wing-back George Cooper's deep, far-post cross in the 22nd minute.

Swindon levelled after 35 minutes through a brilliant solo goal by Diallang Jaiyesimi.

The impressive Swindon striker turned marker Joe Edwards 30 yards from goal before letting fly with an unstoppable drive that went in off the inside of the post.

Steven Benda had to go full stretch in the sixth minute to acrobatically punch away Niall Canavan's goal-bound header before Plymouth took the lead through Telford.

Jaiyesimi was denied by goalkeeper Alex Palmer's save before equalising eight minutes later for the visitors.

Substitute Kaiyne Woolery came close to setting up a goal seconds after his introduction on the hour-mark but his cross just eluded the incoming forwards, before Doyle sealed victory for the Robins, slotting home from 12 yards after being teed up by Paul Caddis from the right.
