Cian Harries & James Daly: Bristol Rovers sign Swansea City defender and Crystal Palace striker

Bristol Rovers have signed Swansea City defender Cian Harries and Crystal Palace striker James Daly on two-and-a-half-year deals.

Daly, 20, has joined for an undisclosed fee, while Harries, 22, arrives on a free transfer with Swansea gaining a percentage of any future sell-on fee.

Centre-back Harries spent the first half of the season on loan with Dutch Eredivisie side Fortuna Sittard.

Daly never played a first-team game for Palace but was an unused substitute.

"We feel Cian has the potential to really develop and to be a great asset for us," Rovers boss Ben Garner said., external

"He is a left-footed centre-back with great ability to build the play and strong defensive attributes."

On Daly, Garner commented:, external "He is a quick, versatile forward with great desire and a really high work ethic.

"James has an excellent goalscoring record at under-18 and under-23 level. Crystal Palace is a club I know well and he comes highly regarded."
