Woking 2-0 Maidenhead United

Former Wolves and West Ham winger Matt Jarvis scored on his debut to help Woking earn a National League win over Maidenhead.

The one-cap former England international joined the club on Friday and started on the bench for the Cards.

Jamar Loza had an early chance for Woking but was denied one-on-one by Maidenhead goalkeeper Taye Ashby-Hammond.

Dave Tarpey fired just wide as the hosts enjoyed the better chances in a goalless first half.

Jarvis was introduced for his debut just before the hour mark and made an impact just four minutes later with his first touch. Jake Hyde drilled the ball low across the face of goal where Jarvis applied the finish.

And the roles were reversed as Woking made sure of the points seven minutes from time, with Hyde claiming the goal after Jarvis' corner was bundled in from close range.

Victory ended a run of four games without a win for the Cards, while Maidenhead have lost three in a row and remain just one point above the relegation zone.
