Yeovil Town 3-0 Wrexham

Yeovil Town ended a six match winless run with a comfortable win over National League strugglers Wrexham to maintain their promotion challenge.

The hosts went ahead in bizarre fashion when keeper Rob Lainton tried to clear the ball, which struck Courtney Duffus and ended in the back of the net.

Luke Wilkinson's 30-yard free kick doubled Yeovil's lead after the break.

Albi Skendi scored Yeovil's third as they ended the day third in the table. Wrexham are 17th.

Wrexham manager Dean Keates said: "It's one step forward and two steps back kind of thing. The quality wasn't there.

"The pitch was a bit heavy and a bit bobbly but that's no excuse, we have to earn the right in every single football match.

"It is what it is and we take it on the chin and regroup this week."
