Chesterfield 3-4 Harrogate Town

Harrogate closed the gap on National League leaders Barrow to five points with a last-gasp 4-3 win at Chesterfield.

Harrogate took a ninth-minute lead when veteran striker Jon Stead headed home a fine cross from Warren Burrell.

The Spireites hauled themselves level in the 26th minute as Jonathan Smith released Jordan Cropper down the right and is ball across goal was tapped home by Tom Denton at the back post.

And three minutes later the home side went ahead when Nathan Tyson flicked on a header from Denton and Liam Mandeville was on hand to poke home from close range.

The lead was short lived, however, as Harrogate pulled level when Jack Diamond's effort from the left was parried by Shwan Jalal and George Thomson capitalised on the rebound to score.

Diamond had a goal ruled out for a foul before Stead got his second of the evening on the hour mark, looping a header into the far corner of the net from Diamond's cross.

But back came Chesterfield and they earned a point eight minutes from time when Boden fired home after Denton headed Regan Hutchinson's cross into his path.

Harrogate snatched victory two minutes into stoppage time when Jack Muldoon turned a low cross past Jalal.
