Dunfermline Ath 1-1 Queen of South: Jonathan Afolabi denies visitors win
- Published
Jonathan Afolabi's penalty earned Dunfermline Athletic a point and denied Queen of the South a first win in nine Scottish Championship games.
Gary Oliver gave the visitors the lead in Fife, drilling a low shot beyond goalkeeper Owain Fon Williams.
Queens had goalkeeper Ross Stewart to thank for preserving the lead as he produced a superb reaction save to keep out Euan Murray's header.
But Dunfermline levelled just a minute after the break as Afolabi scored.
Stephen Dobbie fired over the bar in the closing stages for the visitors, but neither side looked like forcing the winner.
