Dagenham & Redbridge 1-2 AFC Fylde
- Published
Alex Whitmore headed a stoppage-time winner as National League strugglers AFC Fylde claimed a vital win at Dagenham & Redbridge.
The Coasters started the day 10 points from safety and looked set for a draw until Whitmore's late intervention.
Sam Deering had a shot blocked before Fylde goalkeeper Josh Lillis palmed away a fierce effort by Myles Weston as the Daggers had the best of the first-half chances.
Tom Walker broke the deadlock in the 48th minute when he got on to the end of Jordan Williams' inch-perfect cross to steer the ball in.
Dagenham were back on level terms 10 minutes before full-time when Brundle tapped in Liam Gordon's cross but there was still time for Whitmore to find a winner four minutes into added time.
