Klaemint Olsen's hat-trick helped NSI Runavik brush aside visitors Barry Town United in Thursday's Europa League preliminary round tie in Toftir.

Barry gave a good account of themselves in the first half in the Faroe Islands.

But Olsen scored twice in 11 minutes soon after the half-time break and Petur Knudsen made it 3-0 to Runavik, before Olsen scored his third amid foggy conditions.

Steffan Lokin added to the Welsh side's misery, although Kayne McLaggon did grab a late consolation.

Barry manager Gavin Chesterfield was able to field the likes of former Wales forward David Cotterill and ex-Newport County striker Nat Jarvis up front, but Runavik had by far the sharper cutting edge

The tie was a one-off game due to Covid-19, so now it is Runavik who advance to face Scottish Premiership side Aberdeen away in the first qualifying round.
