James Ball started his career at Bolton Wanderers
James Ball's header secured Solihull Moors' first win of the season with victory over Wrexham.
Paul Rutherford had Wrexham's best first half chance when his effort looped over Ryan Boot, struck the crossbar but did not cross the goal line.
Solihull scored through Ball's powerful header which gave Rob Lainton no chance.
Elliott Durrell came close to a late equaliser but his deflected shot went wide.
Wrexham manager Dean Keates said: "We dominated long periods of the game. We knew how they operate, we came with a game plan and it worked to a tee,
"But football is two 18-yard boxes and we have to learn but character wise they gave everything tonight.
"We crated enough chances to say that we should have scored. We cant be relying on referees that don't give you anything."

Hollywood actor Rob McElhenney followed the game via a live stream. Wrexham are the subject of a proposed takeover by McElhenney and Deadpool star Ryan Reynolds.
