Swansea City have signed defenders Ryan Bennett and Joel Latibeaudiere, midfielder Kasey Palmer and utility player Ryan Manning.

On a hectic deadline day, Palmer joined on loan from Bristol City while Latibeaudiere arrived on a free from Manchester City.

Joe Rodon's departure to Tottenham Hotspur then prompted two more deals.

Bennett signed from Wolverhampton Wanderers, while Manning joined from Queens Park Rangers.

The fee for Manning is undisclosed but is believed to be in the region of £250,000.

Swansea head coach Steve Cooper has finally got Palmer having tried to sign him on loan in the summer of 2019 only for the 23-year-old to opt for a permanent move to Ashton Gate.

The Swans focused on a deal for ex-England Under-21 international Palmer after it became clear they could not afford Liverpool's Harry Wilson, who has instead joined Cardiff City.

Latibeaudiere, 20, is reunited with Cooper having played for his World Cup-winning England Under-17 side in 2017.

Bennett, 30, has signed a three-year deal at Swansea some eight years after he was en route to the then Premier League club for a medical before turning round and signing for Norwich City.

He has been at Wolves since 2017 but spent the second half of last season on loan at Brendan Rodgers' Leicester City, where he played five times.

Bennett has played 92 games for Wolves, scoring three times, having previously netted twice in 120 appearances for Norwich. He has also had lengthy spells at Peterborough and Grimsby.

Bennett has been allowed to leave on a free transfer, although the deal features clauses which are likely to see Swansea pay a fee should Bennett help them win promotion to the Premier League.

Manning, who has signed a three-year deal, will provide another option for Swansea on the left flank while he is also capable of playing in central midfield.

A former Republic of Ireland Under-21 international, the 24-year-old has been part of the senior squad but is yet to win a cap at that level.

He has scored nine times in 96 QPR appearances since joining the London club from Irish side Galway in 2015, while he also netted four times in 18 appearances during an impressive loan spell at Rotherham in 2018-19.

London-born Palmer came through the ranks at Chelsea and had loan spells with Huddersfield, Derby and Blackburn and Bristol City, who then paid a reported £3.5m to secure his services on a permanent basis.

Palmer has made a total of 115 senior appearances and has scored 15 goals, but has only featured in the EFL Cup in the early stages of 2020-21. Bristol City have the option to recall him in January.

Latibeaudiere has never played a senior game for Manchester City but did get some first-team experience while on loan with Dutch club FC Twente last season.

He has signed a three-year deal at the Liberty Stadium.
