FA Cup: Barnet 1-0 Burton Albion highlights

Wesley Fonguck scored a wonderful winner as National League Barnet held out for the entire second half with 10 men to knock League One Burton Albion out of the FA Cup.

Fonguck's tremendous strike gave the hosts an early lead but Matt Preston was sent off just before half-time for hauling down Burton striker Niall Ennis who was through on goal.

But some brave defending and the safe hands of goalkeeper Scott Loach saw Barnet, 40 places below Burton in the football pyramid, through to round two.

Their goal deserved to win any tie as Michael Petrasso jinked in from the left, beat two defenders and found JJ Hooper on the edge of the penalty area whose one-touch lay-off was struck first time by Fonguck into the top-left corner.

Hooper could have doubled the lead before the break when he was played in on goal but goalkeeper Kieran O'Hara prevented Burton from falling further behind.

Albion, without a win in 10 matches across all competitions, battled to find an equaliser but Ennis saw his deflected strike hit the bar before Sam Hughes' powerful header was blocked on the line by Alexander McQueen.
