Ayr United 2-0 Dundee: Michael Moffat scores 100th goal for home side
- Published
Michael Moffat scored his 100th Ayr goal as they picked up their first win in four Scottish Championship fixtures by beating Dundee at Somerset Park.
Cammy Smith fired low into the net from 12 yards in the opening minutes after good work from Luke McCowan.
Moffat then doubled the advantage when he beat Dundee's debutant goalkeeper Adam Legzdins.
Viljami Sinisalo had to keep out efforts from Dundee pair Christie Elliott and Shaun Byrne.
McCowan was denied by the offside flag as Ayr looked to put the match to bed, but it was of little consequence as the home side saw out the win.
It means Dundee languish in seventh, without a win in their last three league matches
