National League leaders Torquay United maintained their unbeaten home record with victory over Wrexham in front of returning supporters at Plainmoor
Ben Whitfield scored from the first meaningful attack with his low shot beating Christian Dibble.
Asa Hall doubled the lead from the penalty spot but Theo Vassell's header brought Wrexham level.
Wrexham looked more likely to score after the break but Connor Lemonheigh-Evans sealed Torquay's win.
Over 970 fans were at Plainmoor for the first time since March and Gary Johnson's side have a two-point lead at the top of the table.
Wrexham's second successive defeat sees them drop down to 10th.
Wrexham manager Dean Keates said:
"We were nowhere near good enough in the first half and in the second half we had a go and put them under a bit of pressure and created decent half opportunities.
"We didn't hit the target enough and didn't work the keeper. We've hit double figures in shots and attempts and only hit the target once.
"We're not being ruthless with our opportunitie."
