Raith Rovers 2-2 Dunfermline Athletic: Two goals in a minute earns Pars point

  • Published

Dunfermline fought back from 2-0 down to maintain their unbeaten start to the Scottish Championship and earn a point away to Raith Rovers.

The home side had led through Manny Duku and Frankie Musonda.

But two late goals in a minute from Fraser Murray and Declan McManus levelled matters, the first goals Raith has conceded at home this season.

Despite their draw, Dunfermline dropped to second behind Hearts in the league table.

Raith Rovers assistant manager Paul Smith: "It was fantastic to get ourselves 2-0 up against the league leaders. We're a bit disappointed not to see the game out but we're a new team back in the championship."

Dunfermline manager Stevie Crawford: "I thought it was a good advert for Fife football. Both teams are at the top end of the championship and were we bang at it in the first half - probably not. But I keep saying, when you face hard times, you have to dig deep and I think it showed the character when we went 2-0 down.

"When we were faced with a big question, we came up with the answers - I think it shows the development as a club."
