Dominic Solanke has now scored eight goals in 19 appearances for Bournemouth so far this season
Bournemouth kept pace at the top of the Championship as they made easy work of thrashing Huddersfield Town.
Dominic Solanke struck twice inside 13 minutes before David Brooks added to Bournemouth's tally soon after.
After the break, Huddersfield almost hit back when Isaac Mbenza teed up Harry Toffolo but his goalbound effort was blocked by the hosts.
Junior Stanislas slotted in a low finish for the Cherries' fourth and Sam Surridge wrapped up the win moments later with a close-range strike.
Norwich's win at Blackburn kept them top of the table but Bournemouth moved back above Swansea, who beat Cardiff in the day's earlier kick-off, to stay in second.
Meanwhile, Huddersfield's defeat, their eighth of the season, drops them to 14th in the table.
Solanke's first was a chipped effort following good work from Brooks, while his second came after he latched on to Jefferson Lerma's through ball.
Brooks combined with Solanke once again inside the opening 20 minutes as he fired into the top corner from close range.
Bournemouth's dominant display continued after the break with Stanislas and Surridge both coolly finding the net to add to a miserable afternoon for the visitors.
Bournemouth boss Jason Tindall told BBC Radio Solent:
"I'd like to dedicate this result to the fans because it's been a long time coming, we've certainly missed them and I think you see the difference they do make to the team.
"The players responded to it with a really good performance and I think a big part of that was because the fans were back.
"We delivered an excellent all-round performance, we're starting to understand roles and responsibilities a lot more and that showed in the performance today. To keep a clean sheet and score five goals, I don't think you could ask for much more
"Our attacking play in the way we moved the ball and our movement was excellent, it's something to build on and we want to keep getting better."
Huddersfield boss Carlos Corberan:
"Sometimes we need to manage the squad and manage how many consecutive games the players can play to avoid injuries.
"We made the decision to go with certain players and we should have been more competitive.
"I know how difficult it is for our fans. It is painful for me too. We came here with expectations to get a positive result.
"We need to know when is the moment to play and when is the moment to keep the ball. In my opinion we gave away two very bad goals right at the start. We have to be better to be part of this league."
