Luke Young's third goal of the season sealed Wrexham's win over Dover

Wrexham moved up to eighth and level with the play-off spots in the National League with victory over bottom of the table Dover Athletic.

Reece Hall-Johnson put Wrexham ahead, finishing off a fine individual run.

Dover levelled before half-time through Ahkeem Rose's header from Jack Munns' free-kick.

Fiacre Kelleher's header and Luke Young's stoppage time penalty sealed victory in Wrexham's first game of 2021.

Young converted from the spot after Kwame Thomas had been brought down by Dover keeper Yusuf Mersin.

Wrexham manager Dean Keates said:

"It's been a long time. It was a frustrating period over Christmas with a lack of games and then disappointing, especially in the first half at Stockport.

"It's been in the system a long time and obviously then we've had the Covid incident so we were glad to get it out of the system.

"We got what we deserved with the penalty at the end and it probably makes us look what the game should have been early on."
