Swansea City have signed United States forward Jordan Morris on loan until the end of the season with an option to buy.

The 26-year-old, who is known for his pace and can play in either a wide or central attacking role, has scored 10 goals in 39 international appearances.

Morris has been a regular scorer for Seattle and was shortlisted as one of US Soccer's 2020 players of the year.

he will not be available for Saturday's FA Cup tie against Nottingham Forest.

Swans are also targeting another US international, D.C. United winger Paul Arriola, on a short-term loan.

"It's an ongoing discussion," D.C United general manager Dave Kasper said.

"They are up against a clock with [transfer] deadline. So it's something obviously we'll be engaging with Swansea in the coming days."

Boss Steve Cooper has been keen to add to his attacking options after midfielders Kasey Palmer and Morgan Gibbs-White recalled by parent clubs Bristol City and Wolverhampton Wanderers in recent weeks,

On-loan striker Viktor Gyokeres returned to Brighton before switching to Coventry City.
