Cheltenham Town have signed Aston Villa forward Indiana Vassilev and Reading striker Sam Smith on loan until the end of the season.

Vassilev, 19, featured 12 times for Burton during a stint with the League One club earlier in the campaign.

The USA Under-20 international has played six senior games for Villa.

Smith, 22, made seven appearances in all competitions while on loan at Tranmere between October and December, but failed to score any goals.

He has also spent time on loan at Oxford United, Shrewsbury Town and Cambridge United in recent seasons.

Both players are available for Cheltenham's League Two fixture at Forest Green at Saturday.
