Dundee moved up to fourth in the Scottish Championship after holding off Inverness Caledonian Thistle's comeback at Dens Park.

Max Anderson struck to give Dundee an early lead.

And Jason Cummings fired a second for James McPake's side just before half-time.

Inverness, under the interim charge of former Dundee boss Neil McCann, replied through Nikolay Todorov's header but they could not get level.

The Highlanders remain seventh, five points behind Dundee and Queen of the South.
