Harry Pickering & Taylor Harwood-Bellis: Blackburn Rovers sign defenders from Crewe and Man City

Harry Pickering and Taylor Harwood-Bellis become the second and third January arrivals at Blackburn

Blackburn Rovers have signed Crewe defender Harry Pickering on a permanent deal and Manchester City's Taylor Harwood-Bellis on loan for the season.

Pickering, 22, has agreed a four-and-half-year contract but will remain with the Alex for the rest of this term.

He has four goals in 25 appearances for Crewe this season, and 10 in total from 148 matches in his career.

Harwood-Bellis, 19, has been with City since the age of six and made eight senior appearances, scoring once.

The duo are the second and third arrivals at Ewood Park after defender Jarrad Branthwaite's loan from Everton.
